Urban Safari

Whether I am ready to head to an urban safari or play Sandy from Grease, I’m digging this look either way…

Shirt : H&M (rather old, currently also loving this one) | Skirt : Vintage from my Mom | Belt : Vintage too | Shoes : Dosenbach | Handbag : Cultgaia dupe from Aliexpress (currently not available, but also loving this one with additional shoulder strap | Bracelet : De Marquet CharmIng

You know how, as a little girl, you rummage through your mom’s wardrobe, pick out your favorite piece of clothing and – very clumsily – put on some lipstick in order to feel like a chic and sophisticated grown-up? Well, this look was kinda created that way. My mom recently bought this skirt at a vintage store and when I was at their house to visit, I saw it and simply had to try it on. It somehow reminds me a bit of Sandy in Grease – before she has her re-vamping session with the Pink Ladies, obviously – and I knew I had to borrow it for an outfit post right then and there.

I knew I wanted to pair it with my white sneakers by Dosenbach, which I am currently living in. They are just too comfortable and somehow make every outfit look cool – and in consequently me too, which I am not mad about.

Lastly, I knew I wanted to incorporate my Cult Gaia handbag dupe in one of my upcoming outfit posts and when I was planning this outfit I thought it would go great with this color scheme. I actually ordered my version of this very instagram-famous handbag through Aliexpress and am so happy about it. The original is just way too expensive for a bag that is all design and no practicality.

Honestly, this bag photographs super well, but let’s be honest, it’s not very practical for every-day-use, but honestly, I’m ok with it, as mine was a total bargain. I have, however, found a new version on the store I bought mine from that features a longer strap, which means that you could wear it cross-body and now I kinda wish mine had this perk. All in all, this really is a total “instagram made me buy it” item, and I’m fine with that, as long as my outfits look that cute with it… 😉
