Slippin' in the Snow

Red Coat : Zara | Red Turtleneck : got it from my mama | Black Slip Dress : Zara | Black Overknee Boots : Primark | Earrings & Necklace : H&M | Python Pouch : De Marquet

I succumbed to the trend of wearing a slip dress with a shirt under it and it was fabulous! My inner 90s kid rejoiced at the familiar style, even though this is a much more grown-up version of the trend I already lived through once.

When this style - and all other 90s trends that have recently made a comeback - were trendy last, I was only a kid, but even then, I loved me a chocker and a dress-shirt combo, so this felt quite natural.

I've fallen in love with this black slip dress by Zara that I picked-up a few weeks ago. It has not only found its way into my winter wardrobe - as a layering piece - but it has also been a trusted travel buddy while I was in Bali a few weeks ago. It is a real wardrobe chameleon and a piece I can only recommend getting as a new staple.

#LustList - A Slip Dress & Gucci

Jeans Jacket : Zara | Slip Dress : H&M | White Shirt : H&M | Choker : H&M | Sunglasses : Gucci Oversize Cat Eye | Bag : Gucci Dyonysus Suede Red | Smoking Simone Boots : Made by Sarenza | Perfume : Lady Million by Paco Rabanne | Lipstick : Chanel Rouge Coco Ultra Hydrating

I have to admit that I rolled my eyes when I first saw that the white-shirt-under-a-slip-dress look was back from the 90s, but I also have to admit that I have fallen in love with it again, since seeing it on literally every blog online. This little black number from H&M has caught my attention and I think it would make a great pair with the jeans jacket from Zara, which would give it an interesting edge.

I obviously had to pair a Gucci Dyonysus bag with this look. This bag has been as present on social media as the slip dress lately and I have to say that I really have fallen in love with it. There are many different variations of this bag, whether with the traditional Gucci pattern, colorful patches or in color, they are all lovely. For this look I decided to chose the red suede version, as I think it matches this outfit perfectly.

I would love to hear your impression of my little #LustList posts. This has been the second one I have done so far and I have really been enjoying this type of post and I hope you did too.

Valentine's Day

Coat : Primark | Dress : Thrifted | Boots : Primark | Necklace : Tally Weijl | Handbag : Vintage Chanel

When I was putting together the blog schedule for 2017, it was obvious that I had to make a post for Valentine's Day, because it's just such a blogger thing to do - isn't it? Valentine's Day has become one of these "holidays" where you simply have to do something on your social media channel or you'll feel like the odd one out.

So I got to work and put together this outfit, which I actually love. In my opinion, it's the perfect mix between affordable pieces and luxury, which is something I think I really stand for. I adore thrift shopping and the high street stores, which are at the core of my wardrobe and allow me to play with trends and fads. But in order to elevate my looks and give them a little special je-ne-sais-quoi, I like to add luxury pieces, such as this wonderful vintage Chanel bag.

So with this I am wishing you a happy Valentine's Day, whether you are having a Galentine's Day or simply enjoying a normal Tuesday, may it be a lovely one. ;)

#LustList - Rosé All Day

Rosé all Day Sun Hat : White Elephant Designs | Sunscreen - Nivea Sun Protect & Moisture SPF 30 & After Sun Lotion | Beach Basket : Rae Feather Pom Pom Small Basket | Bikini : H&M | Pareo : H&M | Sunglasses : Jimmy Choo | Sandals : Loeffler Randall | Pom Pom Sandals : via Etsy | Round Beach Towel : BaliTowel

As I was preparing for my vacation in Bali - which I am hopefully enjoying right now, while this blog post is going live by itself, thanks to modern technology - I was wondering what the perfect accessories for this trip would be. I found a few pieces that would be absolutely lovely for this trip and I thought I would share them with you in a little #LustList post.

Two of my favorite pieces shown are the "rosé all day" sun hat, which I found on the White Elephant Designs website and the round beach towel by BaliTowel. Both these items are super cute and would make for amazing insta-posts. I do have a similar sun hat, which I will be taking on this trip for sure, but unfortunately, I wasn't able to get my hands on a round beach towel yet. Maybe I'll find a cute one in Bali and if I do, you can be sure you'll be seeing it on Instagram soon.

I hope I'll be able to take a lot of jealousy-inducing pictures during this trip - don't judge, a girl's gotta take advantage of such scenery and the fact she is on vacation with 5 amazing women who hopefully have a lot of patience while capturing beautiful and Instagram-worthy pictures.

If you want to see what I'm up to, make sure to check out my Instagram account @chloe.roxane, which will probably be the most up-to-date of all my social media channels. Until then, cheers!

Sunday Afternoon

PJ & Fluffy Socks: Primark | Pink Cup : IKEA | Instant Camera : Instax Mini 8

Sunday was always the weirdest of all days for me and I have only recently learned to appreciate it for its slow pace and tranquility.

I have started using this day to work on my blog and gather new ideas for future posts. I have been enjoying working on outfit posts lately, because fashion is something I am extremely passionate about. Putting outfits together is just something I love doing and I can't wait to keep working on this side of my blog. I have, however, also started thinking about adding a section in which I can share my opinion on everything and anything with you. A type of column, where I can just talk about whatever goes on in my mind at that exact moment in time.

Writing my weekly #ChloeGoesSummer posts last year - which I still owe you a before-and-after post of - showed me that I enjoyed recounting what was going on in my life. If you haven't seen my #ChloeGoesSummer project yet, make sure to check out my journey here.
It offered a great space to talk about things that preoccupied me, that I found funny, sad, entertaining or simply curious. It was sometimes really freeing to just write it off my chest and I got a lot of positive feedback from it, which is why I would like to create a space where I can just share stuff with you.

So this is what I was thinking about and working on last Sunday. Now before you start raising an eyebrow at me, I obviously don't look like this every Sunday, when I casually work on my blog at home. I usually don't bother with hair, makeup, jewelry and everything else that is making me look like I got my s*** together on these pictures. However, this Sunday, I decided to put in some extra effort for you, because me on an actual Sunday morning is very much "au naturel", which just doesn't photograph well.

I mean, #IWokeUpLikeThis is nice and all, but we both know that it took me about an hour to look effortlessly casual like this.

The only thing that is actually accurately portrayed in these pictures is my collection of pink things that are scattered all across my apartment - it really is a girly flat indeed and yes, I might have a problem. Another thing that is portrayed correctly is my obsession with cute PJs, just like these The Time Is Meow ones that Gabriella Lindley designed for Primark.

I hope you enjoyed this post - even if I definitely didn't wake up like this - and I wish you a lovely day dear!
